About DadsVerdict

I'm Tom. When we found out we were expecting I did what every first-time dad does. I opened a few "ultimate baby checklist" articles and got lost in hundreds of products I'd never heard of.

Most of that advice is written for mums. Most of it lists everything and recommends nothing. And almost none of it tells you what turned out to be a waste of money.

So this is the site I wish I'd had. It's everything we bought for our daughter, with a straight verdict on each one. What we'd buy again, what we'd skip and what we'd swap for something else.

Why "verdict"?

Because the best advice I've ever had came from my own dad. He never gave me a list of options. He'd tell me what he thought and why. That's what I'm trying to do here.

What I won't do

I won't pretend I've tested something I haven't. Where a guide includes products we didn't buy, I'll say so clearly. And I'll always tell you what we regret buying as well as what we loved.
